About the Dentist
As the President of the National Equine Dentistry Association and owner of North Texas Equine Dentistry, Dena brings many years of knowledge, experience and expertise to the facinating field of equine dentistry. Dena is a very well respected equine dental practitioner (non-dvm) among the veterinary and equine community, has over 13 years combined experience in veterinary and human dentistry, remains very active in legislation addressing bills that affect the practice of equine dentistry, the horse owner's right to choose and continues to educate and pass on her knowledge to everyone.
Dena's other qualifications:
1. Graduate of the Texas Institute of Equine Dentistry
2. NEDA Certified Equine Dental Practitioner
3. Licensed by the Texas Horse Racing Commission (This is not a DVM License - this is a license that is required by the THRC to work on race track horses)
4. A.A.S Degree in Veterinary Technology
5. A.A.S Degree in Human Dentistry
6. Dental Radiology Certified by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
7. Extensive background in training, breaking and showing horses.
